Words cannot express the memories I have of the kindness and care Aunty Peggy and the family showed me and my brother Lee at what was a very sad time for us, after losing our mum, Peggy's sister. Peggy welcomed us into her house , cared for us as one of her own and showered us with love, which was exactly what she was for us , " A bundle of love , affection and kindness all wrapped up in one" We may not have kept in touch, but I have always shared memories of her with my family. Being introduced to condensed milk in tea ( yuk ,didn't like that much, toast was fine. Trips to Margate with Uncle John, Aunty Peggy and the " Famous Six", holidays at Butlins, and days spent at the homes she worked , where she'd teach me to make cakes and clean up. You will be sadly missed Aunty Peggy, but I will continue to share my fond memories of one of a kind . xxx
